Sativex UK, OK - but Not Home Grown?

Just announced on the radio:
"GPs will be able to supply Sativex if they apply for a Special Licence to import it from Canada."
Muuuuuuaaaahahahahaahaaahaaaahaaaaaha... Canada?

(Does this mean that there'll be gangs of multiple sclerosis sufferers scouring our surgeries for a hit? Multiple sclerosis sufferers who never took it before will now be getting hooked. Non-multiple sclerosis sufferers will think it's OK for them, too - there'll be an epidemic - of psychosis! Yes, the floodgates will be open now, the right-wing press will go wild!)

In Germany earlier this year, in the case of a 41-year old multiple sclerosis patient, Judge Ulrich Krehbiel used strong words against criminal prosecution of severely ill persons who use cannabis medicinally. "Why don't we allow a man with such a heavy burden some good days," he said. (Source: http://www.cannabis-med.org/)
