Expulsion for Cannabis Use Unlawful, UK High Court Rules

Birmingham city council was ruled as acting unlawfully in upholding the decision of a Birmingham school to expel two pupils for using cannabis.

Government guidelines suggest that pupils should not normally be expelled for minor drug offences.
